Sensor Access collects and processes certain personal data about you when you subscribe to our newsletter and mailing system. This policy provides you, as a Sensor newsletter subscriber, information about how our company handles your personal data, and outlines your rights in relation to us and how you can exercise those rights. Types of personal data that are processed

Sensor Access processes the following personal data about newsletter subscribers:

  • Name
  • Company/organisation
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Country
  • IP address
  • Information gathered through your reading/clicking links within our newsletters, downloading brochures or other materials from our website
  • History of your visits to our website as collected by cookies (active campaign, google analytics) or social media sites.

What do we use your data for?

We use your personal data to improve the information that we share with you. We want this information – about our products and services – to be relevant to you, and to help keep your sales engineer informed about specific needs and interests.

Is your data shared with additional third parties?

Sensor Access may be required to transfer personal data to a country/countries outside of the EEA. This is because the software systems utilised by the Company are based outside of the EEA and therefore data retained within this software is stored outside the EEA. Where this occurs, the following safeguards are adopted;

  • Adherence to the relevant binding corporate rules and standard, data protection clauses and compliance to an approved code of practice

Where we store and process your data, for how long we store it and who has access to it:

Your personal data is stored and processed both inside and outside the EEA. If however, you decide to unsubscribe from Sensor Access’ subscriber or mailing list, you can do so at any time. Personal data of unsubscribed persons are immediately removed from our active register. Therefore, at Sensor Access, we store your personal data for as long as you wish to remain a Sensor newsletter subscriber, or for as long as necessary to administer a specific assignment for which the data was collected.

Your personal data is stored and accessed by Sensor Access sales and marketing personnel which is password-protected.

Right to access/extract from register 

You have the right to get complete, comprehensive answers to your questions about any storing or processing Sensor Access does of your personal or visit history data. If we store or process such data, you have the right to see and review what we store; what historical data was extracted from your site visits; the intended purposes for all processes; the identities and locations of third party vendors handing your data for us; and for how long any, and all, of your data gets stored.

Right to data portability

You have the right to request and receive a copy of the personal data you have provided Sensor Access, in a structured, commonly-used and machine-readable format. You also have the right to request Sensor transfer any, or all, of your data to another controller. Your right to the portability of your data applies to the entirety of your personal data, including any from automated processing, defined by your consent here, or another agreement you make with a social media site that shares its data with us.

Correction of inaccurate data

You also have the right to request that Sensor Access correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information about you.

Erasure of certain data

You have the right to require Sensor Access to erase your personal data under certain circumstances e.g. if your personal data is no longer needed for the purpose that we collected it, or your preference to return to anonymity.

Right to object to Sensor Access’ processing of your personal data

You have the right under certain circumstances to object to Sensor’s processing of your personal data.

Right to restriction of processing your personal data

You have the right to request a restriction of Sensor’s processing of your personal data in certain cases. For example, if you contest the accuracy of your personal data, you may request a restriction of its processing during the interim while Sensor verifies its accuracy.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about Sensor’s processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge such a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
