About

ICPRO-2/4 is a PC based networkable 2/4 door controller that can be used with any GuardPoint Pro version. It offers a powerful cost effective solution for access control and alarm management requirements. The controller is equipped with FLASH firmware to allow a simple and cost effective upgrade from a PC making it future proof. The controller has fully-distributed intelligence and event buffering allowing it to make full decisions without depending on the software. The increased processing power of these controllers makes them an ideal solution for very demanding installations. The controller is supplied as standard in a complete 3.5 Amps (4.5 Amps for IC-PRO4) enclosure allowing the installer to power up and control all devices from one professional box.


Application

The IC2/4 is ideally suited for applications where it's vital to have superior processing power and speed to handle a large number of card holders. Applications requiring anything over 40,000 card holders should be specified with ICPRO-2/4. Also at that level the IC controllers have the capability to operate in redundancy modes (see page 25) with the use of the 2nd bus option. The ICPRO-2 is equipped with 4 readers to control 2 doors making it ideal for reading in/out environments. The ICPRO-4 offers a good option for controlling 4 doors and 4 readers per panel. Both controllers are ideal for larger installations. Applications include multi-site global blue chip companies, hospitals, airports, universities etc. The ICPRO-2/4 controllers can then be linked to other controllers in a daisy chain, up to 32 controllers can be wired per loop or unlimited in TCP/IP to finally form a complete PC based access control system.
